Thor: I NEED A HORSE!
Loki: Give me nine months
Tom Hiddleston Obsession Recuperation Center (THOR) (by winniethewho91)
^^ This is the greatest thing on the internet.
See, here he was like ‘Why not?’ Because earlier that’s what Thor wanted to do, that’s what Thor would have done. So he saw no problem with it. In this scene its the irony that its now Thor trying to talk Loki out of doing the exact thing he wanted to do earlier in the film.
Loki’s giving Thor a taste of his own medicine, having him be the voice of reason and Loki completely ignoring him and treating him like a fool. Just like Thor had done.
This. Exactly. There’s an amazing essay on the topic here, which I urge you all to read.
That article was mindblowing! If you read this and you still think Loki’s a shit-villain and a whiny bitch, you’re missing the whole point of his character and you need to go away.
Deleted scene from Thor
What a wonderful scene!!! How, IN THE NAME OF CHRIST, did Thor refuse Loki a kiss?? HOW??
that is the best telling of that story I have ever heard
You know, I have taught English in high schools for six years, and I’ve never seen someone summarise a story as masterfully as that person did in tags.
“I won’t let my brother march into Jotunheim alone.”
#look at this #look at how sweet and innocent loki looks #he looks so YOUNG #right now #this whole ploy #was just to show odin how thor was unfit for the throne #he wasn’t doing it because he hates thor #he had no idea what would come to pass at jotunheim #he didn’t know thor would be exiled #he just wanted their dad to stop and think that maybe #just maybe #loki is the responsible child #the one capable of holding the throne #and then the frost giant grabbed his arm and everything went to hell #loki #thor #feels
Reblogging again because of these tags
He’s crying. He’s. Fucking. Crying. I’ll NEVER get over it, okay?
reblogging this again because i did not even notice the tears until now sOMEONE HELP
Listening to a sad song and seeing that made me sob.
Why dear god, why.
Are you ever going to not fall for that?
#loved this part #because on the one hand #it’s a reference to their fight in Thor #which is cool and all #but #there’s also so much history packed into that line #because you know Loki did this all the time when they would play together as kids #they’d be running around chasing each other #and giggling #and Thor would lunge at Loki #KNOWING that it was probably a clone and that he was about to dive flat on his face #but every time he would think to himself #maybe this time it will really be him #but nope #he face-plants every time #and Loki prances around him going ‘ehehehehehehe’ #like the adorable bb he is #and then they giggle some more and Thor gets up and runs after him again #sobbing
Yeah this…breaks my heart. Loki could have stabbed Thor anywhere - the heart, the face - and he chooses his side. Not lethal. Not even close. And it’s with this dinky little throwing knife that we know he’s capable of being deadly with. He needs to get Thor away from him, because if anyone has any hope of talking Loki out of this, it’s Thor. You can see him holding Loki’s wrist, still trying to keep him there, even after all this. After everything that’s happened, Thor still holds out for the good in his brother. Loki has to physically pull his hand away. And then he sheds a goddamn tear and says, “Sentiment.” Do you know what the definition of sentiment is? It’s: an attitude, thought, or judgement, prompted by feeling. And that kind of boils down to his whole motivation, doesn’t it? Everything he does is motivated by this deep, personal inner turmoil. That little smile after he says it is far from the terrifying smile we saw at the start of the film. This one is painful, and full of realization.
Loki, your whole existence hurts me.
Why did you post that
Thor: I don’t know what a philanthropist is.
